To the rescue

THIS is with reference to the story “To the rescue” by Mohammad Bilal Arshad (YW, September 20, 2014). I would like to thank the team of Young World for providing us each week with such meaningful stories. The story “To the rescue” had interesting plot and many useful messages as it told us about the bravery of a young boy who saved his parents, and that hard work never goes to waste.

I want to ask the writer to write more such stories.

II

THE story “To the rescue” by Mohammad Bilal Arshad was inspiring and told readers how selfish people ruin the happiness of others by putting them in great trouble. In the same issue, another story “Good deeds are always rewarded” by Shehzab Khan was also nice.

This story taught us a lesson that if we help the poor or needy, we surely will be rewarded by God. So we should always pay attention to the needs of the poor people around us.

Sour grapes, sweet apples

THIS is regarding the story “Sour grapes, sweet apples” by Sandhya Karamat Barlaas (YW, September 6, 2014). The story was very funny and interesting. It is true that we should not regret what has happened instead we should enjoy our present.

Did you know?

THIS is with reference to the “Did you know?” (YW, September 20, 2014). All the facts in the section were astonishing and I really love reading about those bugs, especially glow worms which are not actually worm but larvae of certain species of fungus and about orchid mantis, which looked just like a flower. In short, “Did you know” section is always awesome!

Astronomy

THIS is regarding the final part of the Planet Earth series in Astronomy section “Man, the wise” by Arif Ali Abbasi (YW, September 20, 2014). I have been reading the articles in this section with interest and Mr Abbasi must be appreciated for how well he explains such complex scientific concepts and ideas in a very simple way.

The main features of Earth , formation of indigenous gases in the atmosphere, the force of gravity, the depletion of ozone layer and much more are so well explained by him that when I was reading about pollution and its affect on the ozone layer in the class, I could understand it quickly.

I would like to thank the writer and the Young World team for giving us such informative articles that also help us in our academic life.

Young news

THIS is with reference to the “Young news” (YW, September 27, 2014) in the centrefold of Young World magazine that recently appeared.

I found the layout and the content of the section very interesting. In fact, I loved the centre page so much that I have put it on the wall of my room. I would like to request the YW team to always publish all the interesting news on one page just like in this issue.
