Pak Tea House

THE other day I had a chance to visit the historic Pak Tea House which was renovated last year by the City District Government of Lahore. The Tea House was and is popular amongst students. The food and snacks reasonably priced and of good quality.

The efforts of the City Govt in restoring the glory of a historical literary site in Lahore are highly commendable. The Pak Tea House and the area around it have some nostalgia attached to it. The walls are decorated with pictures of various literary figures of yesteryears.

However, there are a few things which I would like to draw the attention of the curators/management.

The pictures should have a brief and caption introduction of the person. This is very important for the new generation who may be unaware of the contributions made by these people. The idea should be not only be to renovate and restore a literary hub but to educate and inspire our youth about their ancestors.
