New Vice Chief of Naval Staff appointed
ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain appointed Vice Admiral Khan Hasham bin Saddique as Vice Chief of the Naval Staff on Sunday.
Vice Admiral Khan Hasham bin Saddique was commissioned in the operations branch of the Pakistan Navy in June 1980.
He undertook initial training at the Britannia Royal Naval College Dartmouth, UK, said a press release issued by the Naval Headquarters here.
On commissioning, he won the coveted sword of honour from the Pakistan Naval Academy. He got his early education from the prestigious PAF College, Sargodha, and did FSc from the Cadet College, Petaro.
During his career, he attained vast experience of both command and staff appointments. His command appointments included command of a destroyer, Commandant of the Pakistan Naval Academy, Commandant of the Pakistan Navy War College, Commandant of the National Security College at the National Defence University, Commander of the Pakistan Fleet and Command of the Multi-National Combined Task Force 150 at HQ NAVCENT, Bahrain.
In recognition of his meritorious services, he was awarded the Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military).
