SANGHAR: Four irrigation officials suspended

SANGHAR, Sept 9: Four irrigation officials of the Mithrao Canal were suspended for abetment in water theft on Monday.

The director of Nara Canal Area Water Board, Agha Aijaz, inspected the Mithrao Canal and found that more than 15 watercourses and minors were carrying extra water.

He suspended sub-engineer Muneer Ahmad Memon, Darogha Murad Ali Nizamani, Usman Gaho and Ramzan Rind and sealed watercourses and minors.

SUICIDE ATTEMPTS: A man and two women tried to commit suicide in different villages in the Sanghar district.

Nazeeran, daughter of Mohammad Urs, resident of the Kamal Din Shar village, and Rehana, daughter of Altaf, resident of Jhol, were taken to the Sanghar Civil Hospital after they took pesticides over domestic problems.

Ghulam Shabbir, son of Ghulam Nabi, resident of Brohi village, took pesticide because he was unemployed. He was shifted to the civil hospital.
