MANSEHRA: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Mohammad Yousuf said on Monday that that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was scheduled to inaugurate the Hazara motorway project on November 29, which would be built at an estimated cost of Rs 31 billion. He said that the motorway project would bring a real change in the lives of Hazara people.

Talking to mediapersons here, he challenged his political opponents to launch such mega projects in Hazara, saying that holding sit-ins alone couldn’t bring change in people’s life.

“PML-N doesn’t believe in mere slogans, rather it does practical work to the effect as is being done in the shape of mega development projects,” he said. He said that the PM would also inaugurate other projects in Hazara very soon. “We have finalised gravity flow water supply scheme with an estimated cost of Rs3 billion and the prime minster would also inaugurate this project during the visit,” said Mr Yousuf.

The federal minister said that paperwork on a women university had also been finalised and work on the project would start soon.

He said that the government had no plan to create hurdles in the way of November 30 gathering of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf as such measures had ‘proven a bubble of water in the past’.

He said those who were raising slogans of change should support Pak-China agreements in various fields.

Meanwhile, Mr Yousuf also visited the residence of late Major Wasif Hussain Shah who died in Datakhail area of North Waziristan last week, and prayed for his deported soul. He also laid floral wreath on the grave of the deceased.

FC RECRUITMENT: A large number of youngsters gathered on Monday at the Frontier Constabulary ground in Oghi here to try their luck for recruitment in the force. The recruitment process would continue till December 2.

FC district officer Malik Gulam Murtaza Naseem and assistant district officer Najeebullah supervised the process.

According to FC sources, youth of different tribes were being recruited in the force. They said that 59 seats were specified for Tanoli tribe, 48 for Mashwani tribe, 22 for Swati Allai Wal tribe, three for Gujjars, 13 for Jadoon and 38 for Swati tribe, respectively. Mr Naseem said that the recruitments would be made purely on merit.
