Lack of teachers in Pasni

PASNI is a small town in Balochistan and like many other neglected areas of this province, Pasni too is deprived of basic facilities. The government college here doesn’t have enough teachers and our precious time is wasted when we go to the college but don’t find teachers there for some courses.

I request the concerned authorities to provide our college with adequate number of teachers so that our education doesn’t suffer.

Sajida Hanif, Pasni

Be kind to yourself

THIS is regarding the article “Be kind to yourself” by Salman Ahmed Qureishi (YW, November 1, 2014). I totally agree with the writer’s advice that we should be kind to ourselves. We should keep calm and try to understand what the situation is. Getting panicked is not the solution of any problem. If we want everyone to respect us, we should also respect other people. Sometimes we just take decisions and suffer. So we should keep calm and take decisions which are not only good for us, but also not harmful for others.

Therefore, we should keep our concentration on goodness of life and ignore negativity. Positive attitude towards everything makes us self-confident and gives us peace of mind. We should respect ourselves and treat ourselves well in every manner, it will keep us healthy and away from many problems of life.

To judge or not to judge!

THIS is with reference to the cover story “To judge or not to judge” by Rahul Karamat Barlass (YW, November 8, 2014). It was a good reminder to all of us that we have no right to judge other people. It is not that we cannot judge those whom we do not know, but it applies to people we know also because this is not the right way of treating anyone, whether you know them or you don’t.

I would like to thank the YW team for publishing such an article from which we all are reminded about basic manners to follow in our life.

II

THIS is with reference to the cover story “To judge or not to judge” by Rahul Karamat Barlass (YW, November 8, 2014). It was a great article and a fact that we forget easily and indulge in the bad habit of judging people without any need.

We should always think something positive for others as judging others negatively is completely an unwanted and uncivilised activity that we should not do.
