Top men of Charsadda jail suspended
CHARSADDA: The provincial inspector general (prisons) on Friday suspended superintendent Shahid Hussain and assistant
superintendent Junaid of Charsadda sub-jail over dereliction of duty and appointed Zafar Iqbal and Sulman to their offices respectively.
He also ordered the arrest of five wardens, including Dawood, Khalid, Mukaram, Sajawal and Abdur Razaq.
The action was taken over the fleeing of alleged robber Hanif from the sub-jail in police uniform on Dec 9.
Dawood, who had manned the jail gate on Dec 9, is already in the police custody.
PTI GOVT FLAYED: The ANP has criticised the PTI-led provincial government for ‘failing to deliver.’
ANP provincial general secretary Aimal Wali Khan and district president Arshad Abdullah told party activists during a meeting in Gulabad Sradheri area that the chief minister and members of his cabinet had been
participating in the PTI sit-in in Islamabad ignoring the welfare of the people in the province.
They accused the provincial government of using its resources for PTI protest against the PML-N government.
The ANP leader complained the people displaced from tribal areas were leading a miserable life in tents but the provincial government was indifferent to their misery.
They also criticised the government for ‘failing to honour Nobel Prize winner Malala Yousafzai.
Later, some activists of different parties announced the joining of the ANP.
