Ex-kabaddi captain is no more

LAHORE: Former national kabaddi team captain Tajammal Bajwa passed away in an unfortunate traffic accident near Gojra on Thursday.

Tajammal, who was in his late 20s, has led the national team in the Asian Games in the past. He also featured in the Indo-Pak Punjab Games in March last year and beach kabaddi tournament as a stopper. Tajammal, who hails from Faisalabad, was also part of national training camp for the Kabaddi World Cup but could not accompany the team due to a shoulder injury.

Pakistan Kabaddi Federation president Shujaat Hussain, PSB director general Usman Anwar, national kabaddi captain Shafiq Chishti, head coach Ghulam Abbas Butt, assistant coach Umer Hayat, general secretary of Pakistan Circle Kabaddi Federation Sarwar Butt, team manager Waqas Akbar and a large number of kabaddi players have expressed their condolense.
