SUKKUR: Power consumers including representatives of almost all local business, trade, commercial and social organisations have condemned the Sukkur Electric Supply Company (Sepco) management for choosing a far off area as the venue for the Jan 26 public hearing of complaints against it.

In their press statements issued here on Friday, the organisations said the Sepco management’s move was aimed at preventing most people from pleading their cases at the hearing, to be presided over by Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali.

They demanded that instead of the Arain Grid Station, located close to the city’s airport, the hearing be held at the main Sepco office situated in the heart of the city.
