THATTA: Mosquito nets provided

THATTA, Sept 19: Germany has provided 9,000 mosquito nets worth around 50,000 Euros (about Rs3,200,000) in the rain-affected villages of Thatta district.

The Acting Consul General of Germany, Helmut Holzeheur, who recently visited the area, distributed the nets aimed at minimising the health risk to which the residents of the flood and malaria-affected areas of Thatta district were exposed.

The beneficiaries are the union councils of Daulatpur and Bachal Guju.

The aid was delivered with the assistance of the Sindh directorate, Malaria Control, and Health Net International.
