Sukkur Express bogie gutted at Jacobabad station
SUKKUR: One bogie of the Sukkur Express was gutted and another one was damaged when a fire broke out while the train was stationed at Jacobabad on Wednesday.
It was the fourth incident of its kind in recent months on this sector, Pakistan Railways and police said.
They said the fire broke out in one of the bogies of the Karachi-bound train at Jacobabad station but was put out before
it could cause much damage to another bogie. Police were working on a claim that some inflammatory chemical was thrown at the bogie.
Railways Police DSP Wazir Ali Sarki told the media men that subversion being behind the fire could not be ruled out observing that the bogie gutted swiftly.
In the previous such incident, four bogies of the Sukkur Express were destroyed by a fire a few weeks ago.
