CJP undergoes treatment for heart condition at Peshawar hospital

PESHAWAR: The Chief Justice of Pakistan was admitted to hospital in Peshawar after he suffered a minor heart attack, it emerged on Monday.

Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk is currently being treated for a heart condition at Rehman Medical Institute (RMI) in Peshawar, where he was admitted yesterday after suffering a minor heart attack. Doctors at the hospital have said his condition is now stable and that he is out of danger.

The RMI spokesperson Ulfat told Dawn that Nasirul Mulk underwent an angiography at the hospital and the doctors are satisfied with the results. He will be discharged tomorrow morning, she added.

Nasirul Mulk was in Peshawar to preside over routine cases at Supreme Court’s registry when he suffered the heart attack.
