PM allocates Rs100m for Dr Shahid’s treatment

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Shahif has approved Rs100 million for the treatment of Dr Shahid Nawaz out of country.

Dr Shahid, the head of Pims’ cardiology department, was coming out of the hospital at around 3:30pm when two motorbike riders shot him.

On Sunday night he was shifted to CMH on the request of his family.

Moreover arrangements have been started to shift Dr Shahid to the United Kingdom for treatment.

Media coordinator of Pakistan Institute of medical Sciences (Pims) Dr Waseem Khawaja while talking to Dawn said funds haf been allocated and preparations have been started to send Dr Shahid abroad.
