PIA flight from Sanaa lands in Islamabad with 134 Pakistanis on board
SANAA: A special Pakistan International Airlines flight carrying 134 Pakistanis, who were stranded in Yemen, landed in Islamabad Sunday night.
Before taking off from Sanaa, Sohail Nasir, a passenger on the plane, told DawnNews: "We are very happy to be going back to our homeland."
Nasir said, "We have been told we will land at Islamabad ... After landing, we will find out the schedule ─ when we will fly to Karachi and how."
"Most of the people here are from Islamabad and Lahore. But there are also people from Karachi, Faisalabad and Multan, and they will catch flights to their respective cities from Islamabad."
A total of 849 Pakistanis have already been evacuated from Yemen following the Saudi-led assault against Houthi Rebels.
