Humblebrag

Definition: (Noun) An ostensibly modest or self-deprecating statement, whose actual purpose is to draw attention to something of which one is proud; such as social media status updates are basically selfies, humblebrags and rants.

Examples: “All of the dresses I thought about wearing are too big quite, humblebrag!”; “There’s even a Twitter handle now dedicated to some of the best humble brags out there”; “The best humblebrags have to convey three brags in 140 characters, while simultaneously begging for sympathy.”
