Second consignment of relief goods for Nepal to be sent today
ISLAMABAD: The second consignment of relief goods for earthquake-affected people of Nepal will be despatched to Kathmandu on Tuesday.
The relief goods were scheduled to be taken by C-130 planes on Monday, but flights were cancelled because of bad weather and heavy air traffic at the Kathmandu airport.

Meanwhile, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), the relief coordination agency of Pakistan, has confirmed that Pakistan’s army’s field hospitals and special search and rescue teams have reached Nepal and have started rescue and quake relief support work in suburbs of Kathmandu.
The second batch of relief goods being sent by Pakistan comprised tents, blankets and food items will support 4,000 people.
