A journey to Makkah
The moonlight lights up the holy city of Makkah as the Muslim pilgrims, gathered from across the globe, face the magnificent Holy Kaaba in awe and admiration. Staring at the Kaaba, the world and its life is left forgotten, belittled by the divinity that encompasses the place.
The city of Makkah is known for its religious significance amongst Muslims across the globe, but other than its sanctity the place is an archaeological treasure with monuments that date back several centuries.
A clock tower was recently built near the Holy Kaaba which is a brilliant piece of masonry. Although Makkah has been expanding with novel architecture and construction taking place, one can still feel the essence of the religion that rose some 1400 years ago.
Even with the mountainous terrain and extreme weather conditions of Makkah, there is a constant influx of worshipers making their way into the city, with reverence and undying devotion.
