Representatives of the World Health Organisation, Unicef and partner agencies attended the meeting held with Dr Sarfaraz Jamaldini of the WHO in the chair.

Dr Jamaldini gave a briefing on polio eradication campaigns at transit points near Afghanistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab and the agency’s efforts in this regard.

The meeting, on identification of weaker areas, decided to improve arrangements and performance of the campaign.

The meeting was informed about better arrangements on the Afghan side of the border upon which Rotary officials promised to provide all help needed to improve the situation on this side of the border.

Dr Rehman cautioned against negligence and thanked the Rotary International for their support.
