Private schools’ students top Peshawar, Mardan boards’ SSC results

PESHAWAR/MARDAN: The students of the science group studying in the private educational institutions got first three positions in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination results announced by the Peshawar and Mardan Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education on Friday.

Peshawar board announced the result at a ceremony on its premises.

Waheed Khan, student of Forward Model School, Hayatabad Peshawar, got first position with 1,041 marks out of 1,100. Shehzada and Intikhab Alam got second and third positions obtaining 1,037 and 1,035 marks, respectively. Both are students of the Frontier Children Academy, Hayatabad Peshawar.

The top three position holders in the humanities group were from the government schools.

The first and second positions were gotten by Manahil and Ayesha Waheed of Government Girls Centennial Model School, Nauthia Peshawar Cantonment.

Third position holder, Nimra Bibi, is student of Government Girls High School, Bashirabad Peshawar.

The pass percentage of the Peshawar board remained 79.42 per cent.

In Bannu BISE results, Mohammad Bilal of the Karnal Sher Khan Cadet College, Swabi, topped the SSC results, securing 1,031 marks out of 1,100.

Similarly, Farah Afsheen of Peshawar Model School Mardan and Mohammad Waqar of the Quaid-i-Azam Public School and Montessori System, Bagh-i-Haram Mardan, shared second position with 1,028 marks each.

The third position was also shared by Sarah Maqsood of Presentation Convent High School, Risalpur Nowshera, and Muneeb Ullah of the Quaid-i-Azam Public School and Montessori System, Bagh-i-Haram Mardan, getting 1,025 marks each. The overall result percentage was 75.22 per cent.

The top three position holders belonged to the science group studying at private educational institutions.

And in humanities group, Kajol Parvaiz got first position with 914 marks, Hira Ibrar secured second spot with 895 marks and Iqra Wahab obtained third position with 891 marks, respectively.

The three position holders belonged to the Moon Light Public High School, Topi Swabi.
