Pishin: govt schools

THIS refers to private school teachers’ woes. On an average, teachers in private schools are paid a minimum wage of Rs4,000 through which they can hardly make their ends meet.

Even though their counterparts in government schools are paid up to Rs50,000, their performance is pathetic, which is evident from students’ results.

In Pishin schools like Government Model High School, Government Mochan High School, Government Middle School, Kalli Abdullah Jan, Government Degree College, most of the teachers do not take classes, and have been absent for a long time.

Their intellectual calibre is lower than the level of the students they teach. There is no proper time fixed for attending classes in school. In short, it is a free-for-all.

In order to save our future generations from slipping into the jaws of ignorance, there is a dire need for paying attention to government schools in Balochistan.

Also, I appeal to the provincial government to increase private school teachers wages through legislation so they may get due remuneration for rendering service to Balochistan.
