Boy wounded in rickshaw ‘cylinder’ blast

KARACHI: A boy was wounded when an explosion occurred in a parked rickshaw near Sohrab Goth on Friday noon, the Federal B Industrial Area police said.

They added that owner of the rickshaw Jamal Moosa parked his vehicle outside his home in Gabol Goth near Shah Market and went in. Out of a sudden, an explosion occurred, triggering fear and panic in residents. Contingents of police and Rangers rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area.

The police said that it was a gas cylinder blast, which destroyed the rickshaw.

Eight-year-old Asmatullah, who was passing through the area, was wounded in the blast and taken to a private hospital.
