LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Monday admitted for regular hearing a petition of Jamatud Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed seeking a ban on exhibition of an upcoming Indian movie Phantom in Pakistan.
Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan also sought replies from the federal and Punjab governments on the matter by Aug 13.
In a brief hearing of the petition, advocate A.K. Dogar, the petitioner’s counsel, told the court the upcoming film contained venom against Pakistan and JuD. He said the movie apparently was about the 2008 Mumbai attacks and global terrorism.
