SIALKOT: Daska police arrested the alleged murderer of a minor child on Wednesday.

Sialkot District Police Officer (DPO) Rai Ejaz Ahmed told reporters the suspect (name withheld) had abducted the eight-year-old boy from his home in Chhanga-Daska on Aug 15, and killed him after molesting him.

He said the suspect killed the child by cutting his throat with a sharp-edged weapon and later threw the body along the bank of a canal. The suspect confessed to committing the crime at the press conference.
