Iran hands over bodies of ‘drug smugglers’ to Pakistan
QUETTA: Iranian authorities handed over the bodies of five alleged drug smugglers of Pakistan-origin to Pakistani authorities on Friday.
The five along with their three Iranian accomplices were killed in a gunbattle with Iran’s security forces near the Pak-Iran border on Sept 6.
Iranian authorities had claimed that the men were involved in drug smuggling.

Official sources said Iranian border authorities brought five coffins at the Taftan border and handed them over to a senior official of Levies Force.
A senior official of the Taftan administration said the bodies were handed over to relatives of the deceased after legal formalities.
The men identified as Bismillah Khan, Sirajuddin, Zahoor Ahmed, Mir Khan and Farimroz hailed from Taftan town in the Chagai district.
