Website review: You can do magic!

SOME kids want to learn and display magic tricks to impress their friends and even adults; they feel elated if one of their tricks is successfully conducted.

So if you are a fan of wizardry, you may have seen the cool tricks of popular magicians Dynomo, David Blaine or Chris Angel, which left everyone spellbound by creating unexplainable illusions. Why not learn some magic tricks this weekend? It will be real fun!

Let’s try magictricksforkids.org — the site is an on-line information hub for children aged 6 to 14 and who are eager to learn magic tricks.

There are many videos and tutorials available on the web but most of them fail to address the secret behind every magic trick so the key lies in how the trick is presented to its viewers but this site presents it all in a real simple, way keeping in mind that the visitors will be quite younger.

The home page has menu at the top with categories, “All tricks index” as the name suggests, you’ll find all tricks lined-up at one place; the next is “Magic Lessons”, here you can go through some of the fantastic magic tricks that include, change bag, magic seeds, vanishing coin, water and food magic, audience magic, stage magic and the list goes on; however, if you only have interest in playing the card tricks, you can check out the category “Card Tricks” separately.

Every profession has its own jargon so does magic, these terms are used routinely in their tricks so if you don’t have any idea of what Telekinesis, Shuttle Pass or Mentalism mean, you can check “Magician’s Dictionary”. A fan of the wizardry must know these terms and also learn about famous magicians of all times in “History about magic”.

The site is ad-free, plus, it doesn’t require registration or log in. The magic is taught on the website by Ken Kelly, a professional magician who has a vast experience of over 30 years.

So kids, call your friends this weekend and show them how you can simply make a carrot or rubber band jump, or show them haunted vase illusion! I am sure they will be left scratching their heads!

So learn this wonderful art at http://magictricksforkids.org
