Cricket event for TCF schools held

KARACHI: Hundreds of school children participated in a regional cricket tournament featuring schools run by The Citizens Foundation (TCF) recently, hosted by TCF-Chevron jointly.

In the end, Gadap West Area proved too good for New Karachi Area in the final which they won it on the back of brilliant performances from M. Adeel and Ehtisham.

On the sidelines of the Inter-Area cricket tournament, students from the primary sections featured in a fun-filled sports gala. The primary school children thoroughly enjoyed the fun-filled activities which included a jumping castle, face painting and races. At the adjoining field, more than 500 high school students viewed and spiritedly cheered their peers in the five teams playing twenty-over matches in the regional cricket tournament.

The prize distribution ceremony followed the final match in which Najam Shamsuddin, Country Chairman CPLPL, was the chief guest for the occasion and addressed the audience and congratulated the winners as well as thanked the TCF management and staff for hosting such a well-organized event.
