Protest against petrol price hike

ISLAMABAD: PTI workers on Saturday held a protest against the recent increase in prices of petroleum products.

Workers led by PTI leader MNA Asad Umar gathered in front of the National Press Club and chanted slogans against the increase. They were also holding placards and banners.

Speaking on the occasion, Asad Umar said the government had not taken any concrete step to address the loadshedding issue.

“It is strange that in international market prices of petroleum products have been reduced by 25 per cent but in Pakistan the government has increased the prices,” he said.

“We have submitted a resolution in the parliament against the increase and if it (increase) is not withdrawn, the PTI chairman, Imran Khan will himself come on the roads and lead protest,” he said.
