Army Public School attack : Aamish Salman ─ Age: 14

Son of Salman Ahmed and Samia Salman

Siblings: Three sisters and one brother

Aamish Salman was one of five children. A friend told his parents that during the attack, Aamish ran out of school but then stopped and ran back inside quickly. He had cried and asked for help for his friends who had been taken hostage by militants. A teacher says she had tried to stop Aamish from entering the auditorium but he had entered anyway.

Off-roading was a hobby of his, and he and his uncle would off-road with an old sports jeep of his. He was fond of cars and auto modifications.

Aamish also enjoyed hunting and sports, especially basketball and volleyball.

His parents wanted him to become an engineer but he had aspirations for fame and could often be found with his headphones on, listening to music.

On the day of the attack, Aamish's mother says he was late going to school in the morning but she had forced him to have his breakfast. She says she still sees him running around when she is alone.
