Rickshaw driver makes world record for ‘side wheelie’
A RICKSHAW driver has achieved the world record for the furthest side-wheelie on an automatic tuk tuk. During the day, Jagathish M. operates a taxi service for residents and tourists in Chennai, Tamil Nadu in India — but by night he likes to put his rickshaw to a slightly different use.
Jagathish spends countless hours practicing extreme stunts using his automatic tuk tuk — and claims his speciality is side-wheel driving.
Jagathish has now smashed his way into the Guinness World Record book for driving the vehicle on just two wheels. For the record, Jagathish was required to drive the rickshaw a minimum of one kilometre but he more than doubled this and ended up covering a whopping 2.2km distance and managed to achieve the impressive feet by revving his tuk tuk up to 50mph before using the steering wheel to tip it onto two wheels.
