Nature’s wonder — pearls

This is with reference to the cover story “Nature’s wonder — pearls” compiled by Benazir Raz (YW, November 28, 2015). The article provided some amazing information and I loved reading it.

Pearls are natural wonders and it is really unbelievable how a natural pearl comes into being. But harvesting them must be a tedious job.

This is regarding the cover article “Nature’s wonder — pearls” compiled by Benazir Raz. I was really happy to read the article as it contained information that we never knew before. The pictures were also amazing, but I wished they were bigger so that we could put them on our walls as a poster.

Global warming

This is with reference to the cover story “Climate change is real”, on December 5, 2015. It is true that the world’s climate has changed with the rise in global temperatures. The frequency of natural disasters has increased in the form of droughts, excessive floods and rise in sea levels. And pollution in the atmosphere has done irreversible damage — it has eaten up part of ozone layer that protects Earth from harmful rays of the Sun.

I would like to suggest that factories and industries should be shifted far from cities so that we, the city dwellers are saved from all the pollution.

Pets are the best

This is with reference to the story “Pets are the best” by Sobia Salman (YW, November 28, 2015). The story was touching. And only those who own a pet, whether a dog, parrot or turtle would feel the pain and suffering depicted in the story.

I own a dog, I love it very much. Once it got injured, I remember I couldn’t eat for as long as my dog was ill. I agree with the writer that animals demand so little from us and give us boundless devotion and love.

Magnifying the universe

This is regarding the website review “Magnifying the universe” by Asif Ali (YW, November 28, 2015). It was an amazing site to visit. I really enjoyed watching the infographics as it amazed me to see how big the universe can be and where we are in it.

Also, I would like to request the writer to review website related to palaeontology whether infographics or animation it would be great to know about how life started on earth and all about fossilised plants.
