Two bodies found in Balochistan's Pishin district

QUETTA: Security forces found two unidentified dead bodies from Balochistan's Pishin district on Friday.

Deputy Commissioner Pishin Wahid Kakar told DawnNews via telephone that the dead bodies were found from Saranan tehsil of Pishin district.

The victims, whose names are still unknown, were identified as two brothers, killed apparently during a robbery.

The bodies were moved to Civil Hospital Pishin for autopsy while levies launched a search operation in the area and arrested two suspects with regard to the double murder.

"The suspects are being interrogated," said Kakar.

Law enforcement in the insurgency hit and underdeveloped Balochistan province has remained a daunting task for the police for last several years. The provincial police interacts with a number of other law-enforcement agencies including levies, the Coast Guard, Frontier Constabulary and Frontier Corps (FC).

Security forces have intensified their actions in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan after the announcement of the National Action Plan to combat terrorism in the country.
