Magsi slams Zardari, aides

SUKKUR: The chairman of the Sindh Taraqqi-pasand Party (STP), Dr Qadir Magsi, chose the occasion of his party’s workers’ convention on Tuesday to take a swipe at former president Asif Ali Zardari and his aides. The convention was held at the residence of Babu Hyder Magsi, also known as Magsi House, in Jacobabad district.

He alleged that “the gang of Zardari” had looted Sindh mercilessly while the province’s resources were also being looted with both hands and nobody was questioning them. “They first damaged the education sector, then the health sector and are now busy damaging the agriculture sector,” he said.

Referring to the lawmakers, he said: “The gang of Zardari sitting in the assemblies is daily bargaining away resources of Sindh as well as the rights of Sindhis, but they must remember Sindh is the land of Dodo Soomro and Heemon Kalani.”

Dr Magsi was also critical about the alleged low-pricing of crops and said it was unjustified. “The Sindh government by fixing low price of the crops has snatched the bread from the mouth of poor peasants.”

He claimed that he and his party were vigilant in exposing fabrications of feudal lords and capitalists. “Whenever feudal lords and capitalists fashioned their rules to impose upon Sindh, the STP played an important role to foil such conspiracies.”

“Sindh is our motherland and the people of Sindh know how to defend their land. They will not allow the division of Sindh at any cost and strongly resist any such measures. ”

The convention was also attended by vice chairman Jam Abdul Fatah Samejo, Nusrat Hussain Channa, Ashiq Ali Solangi, Shah Nawaz Sial, Dilbar Bhangwar, district president Haroon-ur Rasheed and others.
