Two held with drone camera

ISLAMABAD: Two persons were arrested for using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) near armed forces installations in the capital city on Monday.

However, the UAV, commonly known as the drone camera, was being used to film a wedding ceremony held at a hall on Margalla Road in E-11.

After getting information about the UAV, the police reached the spot and saw the two persons operating the UAV outside the wedding hall and making video of the guests.

An inquiry conducted showed that they were part of the wedding party.

However, the two men were taken into custody to clear doubts as they were found close to a sensitive area.

Later, they were shifted to the Golra police station and put behind bars after the registration of a case against them.

The use of UAV was banned in the capital in August 2014. However, media houses are still using it for covering different events.

Meanwhile, the capital police arrested 10 outlaws from different parts of the city and claimed to have recovered cash, narcotics and weapons from their possession.
