KARACHI: A fire broke out at a five-star hotel in Rawalpindi after Tuesday midnight, television news channels reported.

Rescue workers and fire-fighters started efforts to rescue the people trapped in the building and to put out the fire.

However, dozens of people were still trapped in the building when this report was filed at 2.30am.
