Three killed in Kohat incidents
KOHAT: Three people, including a girl, were killed and five members of a family were injured in separate incidents here on Monday. Unidentified assailants killed Dost Mohammad in his house in the cantonment area. The police registered a case on the complaint of Mohammad Haris, son of the victim. He told the police they had no enmity with anyone.
The police handed over the body to relatives after carrying out its postmortem in the KDA divisional headquarters hospital, Kohat.
In the other incident, Zareef Khan, a tribesmen belonging to Kurram Agency, was killed allegedly over a women dispute in Bilitang area here. Zareef’s nephew, Itebar Khan lodged a case with the police and nominated Dao Jan and Rehman Jan of Kurram Agency in the murder.
In another incident, a 14-year-old girl, Ruqqayya Bibi, was killed and seven other passengers were injured when a motorcycle collided with a pickup. Five of the injured belonged to one family. The injured were identified as Ahmed Gul, his two wives Zarmeen Jan and Taj Bibi, Sanam Nissa, Azizi, Rafiullah and Ajmer. They were admitted to the women and children hospital, Kohat.
The police impounded both the vehicles and registered a case.
Action against outlaws
The police and security forces in a joint operation on Monday arrested four illegally staying Afghans and 42 suspected persons from different parts of the district.
The personnel also seized arms, including a small machine gun, a repeater, four pistols, two rifles, hundreds of cartridges and some quantity of hashish.
