SANGHAR: Transferred teachers’ fate hangs in balance

SANGHAR, Nov 11: An assistant professor and three lecturers of the Government Girls College, Tando Adam, are shuttling between Karachi, Tando Adam and Sanghar for the last 24 days due to their transfer by the Sanghar education EDO.

The teachers had developed a row with the college principal, Kausar Leghari.

As a result, Assistant professor Jamil Khawar (Urdu) and lecturers, Nazakat Siyal (physics), Qurban Ali (mathematics) and Kashif Ahmed (chemistry) were relieved by the EDO, Mohammad Madani Memon, and ordered to report to the Sindh secretariat.

When they reported, the education secretary told them that the EDO was not competent to issue such orders and asked them to join the college.

When the teachers reported to the college, the principal refused to allow them to resume their duty at the college.

Since then they have been running from pillar to post but in vain.
