JK Rowling gives touching advice

In a few countries, such as the UK, Mother’s Day is celebrated in March, so the touching advice by JK Rowling hit the social networking site Twitter last week, in which she reached out to her massive fan base to give a poignant message about how to treat Mother’s Day if your mum is no longer with you.

She wrote, “Today’s Mother’s Day in the UK. If your mum isn’t here to treat, do something nice for yourself, because she’s part of you. Take a hug, too!”

For those whose mothers have passed away, the day can often be a painful reminder of what you have lost, but Rowling has advised her seven million followers to treat themselves if they are unable to treat their mum — as she will always be a part of them.

The message certainly hit home with many who took her words on board, while others pointed out that JK Rowling was like a mother herself to Potter fans.

Disney Channel plans High School Musical 4

Disney is starting something new with one of its most popular franchises.

The cable channel is officially casting for High School Musical 4, the long-rumoured next instalment in the successful movie series.

The fourth movie in the franchise, which has spawned such stars as Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, will centre on a new group of students at East High, as well as their cross town rivals, the West High Knights.

The announcement of the movie comes a decade after the first film debuted on Disney Channel and quickly became one of the network’s biggest hits.

Disney Channels Worldwide president and CCO Gary Marsh said in a statement, “High School Musical embodies all that we stand for. As a way of continuing to embrace that heritage, we’re excited to announce ‘the start of something new’ — as we launch a search for a new class of East High Wildcats to star in a fourth instalment of the movie.”

Adele asks for ‘this’ on her rider when she performs!

Adele asks for something very specific on her rider when she performs. Riders are notoriously ridiculous. There’s Slash and his request for a square melon, Lady Gaga demanding a mannequin with pink puffy hair, Cher and her request for a ‘wig room’ to store her wigs, and J-Lo demanding a white room with white tables and tablecloths, white curtains, white candles, white lilies and white roses.

But Adele just beat them all…

The award-winning singer asked for just one thing — a donation to charity! The 25-year-old’s request is compulsory for all those who get a free ticket to her show — must make a $20 (£15) donation to the charity Sands, the UK stillbirth and neo-natal death charity. This is impressing!
