KHAIRPUR: Five hostages released

KHAIRPUR, Nov 16: Five people, who were kidnapped on Sept 26 from Saeedpur Laro, Kingri taluka, were recovered on Saturday by the police after an encounter.

DPO Fateh Sher Joyo told journalists that the police received information that the hostages were going to be transferred to Shah Belo from Bagarji town in Sukkur district.

He said that he constituted a police team to take action which besieged the reported area.

Seeing the police, he said, the culprits opened fire while they were crossing the Bagarji bridge.

The police returned fire and recovered Wahid Bukhsh Bhutto, Abdul Ghani Bhutto, Rahib Bhutto, Ali Mardan Kalhoro and Mohammad Bukhsh Kumbhar.
