Scores of PML-N workers gathered outside the residence of Jemima Goldsmith in London on Sunday and chanted slogans against PTI chief Imran Khan — who had reportedly went there to visit his children, DawnNews reported.

The protesters accused Imran Khan of investing donation sums in foreign businesses and demanded a probe against the PTI chief.

They also alleged Imran of using inappropriate language against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

It is pertinent to mention that earlier PTI workers had gathered outside PML-N leader’s residence in London, demanding investigations into the Panama Papers controversy.

A massive leak of secret files from a Panamanian law firm that specialises in offshore tax havens revealed the often-murky financial wheelings and dealings of some of the world’s most powerful political players, including the family of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The revelations contained in the Panama Papers have remained the primary bone of contention between the PML-N and PTI as leaders from both sides have accused each other of bending the truth and siphoning off funds into offshore companies.

“When is Imran Khan selling his house to make up for the lost SKMT charity funds, as he promised,” Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid had questioned during a press conference earlier this month.

Brandishing documents regarding SKMT finances, he claimed that an investment of $28m was made from the trust’s funds, but it was later discovered that the property was worth around $10m.

This, Rashid said, was no secret because it was mentioned in financial statements for the years 2010 and 2014.

The information minister said that the prospect of the $18 million being returned was based on the assumption that the value of the property would hopefully increase beyond the $10m cost price. “Why didn’t SKMT invest this money in Pakistan, as they ask others to do,” he had asked, rhetorically.
