Captain America: Civil War isn’t just another comic book film; it’s an epic from the house of Marvel and ranks second in all-time must-watch list after The Avengers. What makes Civil War better than other films featuring multiple superheroes is the way the directors Anthony Russo & Joe Russo give screen time to all the superheroes involved — be it as small as Ant-Man to as powerful as Vision!
Why are Captain America and Iron Man on the opposite sides? That’s the first question that comes to mind after seeing the poster. After watching the first half of the movie, you will get to know that both have their own viewpoints and they both may be right. What follows is that the duo assembles a team comprising their loyal Avengers (and Spider-Man, of course) and they battle it out before realising that they share a common enemy.
Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, and Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, dominate the film since the plot revolves around these two. In the absence of Nick Fury, they are at loggerheads trying to do what they believe is right. Then there is the new Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Black Widow (Scarlett Johannson), “Bucky” Barnes (Sebastian Stan) aka The Winter Soldier, The Falcon (Anthony Mackie), War Machine (Don Cheadle), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Vision (Paul Bettany) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) who help their team win over the other. Who is behind the conspiracy to create differences between the Superheroes; what happens when the world’s most powerful beings collide — watch the flick to find out the answers.
Captain America: Civil War is one of the finest Superhero flicks you will come across — the action sequences are worth your time and money just as they were in earlier Marvel movies. Yes, there is a cameo appearance from creator Stan Lee who was missed in The Fantastic Four. Watch it especially if you are a fan of Marvel; in any case you will become one after watching the flick!
