Schools asked not to collect fee in advance

PESHAWAR: Deputy Commissioner, Peshawar, Riaz Mehsud has asked all private schools operating in the provincial capital not to charge fee in advance from students during the upcoming summer vacations.

Mr Mehsud said that they were receiving complaints from parents about the private schools. Additional deputy commissioner Irshad Sodhar also chaired a meeting in this regard.

The statement said that the meeting was attended by representatives of the Peshawar board, consumer protection association and parents. It decided that private schools would not be allowed to receive fees other than tuition fee during summer vacations.
