Portugal become 'kings of Europe' as favourites France face dejection

PARIS: Substitute Eder's extra-time goal saw Portugal triumph 1-0 to stun France and finally win their first major international trophy in the Euro 2016 Championship final in Paris on Sunday.

Cristiano Ronaldo cried twice on the occasion, once when he was stretchered off injured and again when he limped back on in joy after his teammates claimed a historic win over the hosts.
