‘Why China cutting?’

THIS is apropos the letter ‘Why China cutting?’ (July 12). While doing some quick searches on the internet, the definition of China cutting shows as: Grabbing a massive piece of land, dividing it into small pieces and selling those pieces.

As to the question why it is called ‘China cutting’, the reason, which also makes sense, is that if one closely takes a look at the map of China, it seems the demarcations and boundaries have been made in a haphazard, complex and, sometimes, improper way. Hence, China cutting. Hope this helps.
