Pakistan's mixed martial arts fighter Uloomi Karim downs India's Yadwinder Singh

Pakistan's Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter Uloomi Karim Shaheen on Saturday beat India's Yadwinder Singh in a World Series of Fighting Global Championship (WSOF-GC) bout at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Manila, Philippines.

Uloomi, who hails from Gilgit-Baltistan, beat the Indian fighter through an unanimous decision.

Currently one of the top MMA fighter in the country, the 25-year-old Karim also holds the Bantam Weight (61) Championship Belt of Under Ground Battle (UGB).

Ahtesham Karim, Uloomi's elder brother, who runs the Fight Fortress Club in Islamabad expressed his delight on Uloomi's success and hoped he will carry on the winning streak .

Ahmed Mujtaba, another MMA fighter from Pakistan, was also successful at Manila as he beat Philippines' Neil Laranow in the first round via a Triangle Choke.

Ahtesham believed both fighters are capable of challenging any other fighter at the event.

Uloomi and Mujtaba are competing in global MMA competitions since the last five years.
