My sister, the Batgirl!

A few days ago my family planned to watch the movie Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice. My sister decided to wear a Batgirl outfit to watch the movie. We were very excited.

There were lots of people at the cinema when we arrived. The man sitting at the ticket booth said that we had to wait for at least half an hour for the next screening of the film. So, we waited and at the same time I prayed that we get the tickets. I was looking forward to watching a movie in 3D for the first time.

Suddenly the man at the ticket booth waved at us to let us know that he had managed to provide us seats and we should come and buy the tickets. We got the tickets and the 3D glasses too. I was excited as I sat watching the movie with my mother and sister.

During the movie, when I looked towards my sister’s seat I was shocked to find that she wasn’t there. I told my mother that I would be back soon and I left my seat. I stepped out of the movie hall but she was nowhere. I then went outside the building and looked for her. I thought it was the greatest of disasters that could happen to me.

By the time I returned to the cinema hall, the movie had ended and everyone was moving out of the theatre and I noticed everyone had taken off their 3D glasses. My mother did not seem to be very concerned about my sister.

All of a sudden I had an idea. She could be in the washroom, so I went to look there. However, she was not there. When we went outside, I saw her on a tree! My mother told her to come down at once and when she got down, we all asked her how she managed to fly?

She said that when Batman was flying in the movie, she also decided to copy him and — surprise, surprise — she started flying! But then suddenly she stopped flying and fell down and struck on the tree.

When I asked her to show me her superpower again, she tried but could not do so. I guess the magic lasted only as long as the movie. And when the movie ended, she lost her superpower and fell!

From that day onward she is known as the Batgirl.
