Timeline of deadliest attacks in Quetta
ISLAMABAD: The suicide bombing that killed at least 70 people and wounded over 100 others on Monday at a gathering of lawyers in Quetta’s Civil Hospital was the latest in a string of mass killings by militant groups in the country.
Here is a list of attacks against civilians in Quetta since 2010.
Sept 3, 2010: A suicide bomb attack killed 59 people at a rally on the Al Quds day organised by Shia organisations.
Sept 20, 2011: Militants gunned down 26 people belonging to the Shia Hazara community when they were travelling on a bus near Quetta.
Jan 10, 2013: A double suicide attack on a snooker club killed 92 in an area of Quetta populated by Shia Hazaras.
Feb 16, 2013: A bomb blast at a market in Quetta’s Hazara Town, a Shia neighbourhood, left 89 people dead.
