Man, toddler drown in Kasur

KASUR: Two persons drowned in separate incidents in the district on Friday.

Muhammad Hassan, a farmer from village Ganda Singh, drowned in the river Sutlej in a bid to drive back his buffalo.

Hassan was bathing his buffaloes in the Sutlej when a buffalo went into the deep water. He followed the buffalo to bring it back but drowned. Locals fished out his body.

In another incident, a three-year-old boy drowned in a drain near his house at village Azad Kot in the area of Kanganpur Police Station. He was identified as Adnan.

RAPE: Sadar Chunian police registered rape case and arrested the suspect after a delay of over two months.

The 14-year-old girl of village Deo Sial had complained to the police that the suspect had broken into her house on June 8 and allegedly subjected her to rape.
