35 more Quetta blast injured admitted to AKUH
KARACHI: The Aga Khan University Hospital said on Saturday that 35 injured of the Quetta blast, who arrived here on Friday night, were admitted to the emergency ward of the health facility.
The city’s hospital has received around 78 wounded since the Aug 8 attack on the Civil Hospital Quetta and they were undergoing treatment for multiple injuries caused by shrapnel.
“Many of the injured, including three women, have multiple shrapnel wounds and many have significant injuries. Airlifted from Quetta, they have been arriving at the emergency room in different groups on different days,” an AKUH statement said.
Around 70 people, mostly lawyers, were killed and 112 wounded when a suicide bomber blew himself up at the emergency ward of the Quetta’s Civil Hospital lawyers.
