Multan, Lahore, Faisalabad enjoy big wins

KARACHI: Defending champions Multan continued their winning run in the fifth National Disabled T20 Cricket Championship by brushing aside Quetta Bolan by 94 runs here on Tuesday.

Lahore crushed Fata by 98 runs in another match but the day’s biggest win was recorded by Faisalabad, who whipped Bahawalpur by 113 runs.

In a close finish, Islamabad edged past Sialkot by just 11 runs, while Peshawar beat Abbottabad by 18 runs.

In other matches decided on day two of the competition, Karachi beat Hyderabad by five wickets Quetta overpowered debutants Azad Jammu Kashmir by seven wickets.

Sargodha, meanwhile, celebrated their first success when they when defeated Rawalpindi by 15 runs.

At RLCA Gulberg Ground: Lahore beat Fata by 98 runs.

Lahore 165-5 in 20 overs (Mohammad Shahbaz 60, Ashfaq Shakir 52, Shahid Ali 29); FATA 67 in 13 overs (Mamraz 21; Shahid Ali 2-6, Abid Hussain 2-11, Zulfiqar Ali 2-14, Abdullah Ejaz 2-18).

At UBL Sports Complex B Ground: Islamabad beat Sialkot by 11 runs.

Islamabad 160-5 in 20 overs (Adil Abbasi 61, Mohammad Tauqir 36, Shah Behram 28; Hafiz Mujtaba 3-36); Sialkot 149 in 19.5 overs (Malik Farhan 62, Saiman Prince 35, Hameed Raza 31; Waqif Shah 5-31, Zubair Khan 2-11).

At TMC Ground: Sargodha beat Rawalpindi by 15 runs.

At KCCA Stadium: Faisalabad beat Bahawalpur by 113 runs.

Faisalabad 154-5 in 20 overs (Rehan Ghani Mirza 48, Adnan Butt 30, Majid Ali 24; Gul Hasan 2-11, Marghoob Alam 2-11); Bahawalpur 41 in 9.5 overs (Nadir Ali 4-8, Rehan Ghani Mirza 3-16).

At RLCA Gulberg Ground: Karachi beat Hyderabad by five wickets.
