Noisli Noise to help you focussed!
For some, noise whether it is of someone talking, music, or the TV, is so distracting when writing or trying to concentrate on a project, presentation or anything important. However, to some, noise doesn’t make any difference on their productivity, in fact their productivity is boosted by the noise (of their choice) and for those people the web has a lot to offer, just like Noisli.
The idea of the Noisli is to enhance productivity by providing ambient background noises to users while they are working, writing or trying to focus.
The website is simply soothing to the eyes without any distractions and everything is right on the main page with symbols referring to the sounds such as coffee cup refers to ‘coffee shop chatter’, with unclear slow murmur and the clinking of the coffee cups.
There are also sounds of the blowing fan, rustling leaves, cracking fireplace, soothing water stream, thunderstorm, rain, wind, forest, summer night with crickets sounds, white noise, brown noise, and for those who love to read while travelling in a train will find the train’s noise here as well!
The sounds are so natural and there is also no interruption in their flow.
Users can select any sound and adjust accordingly or make their own compilation of sounds by combining clips and adjusting their own slider volume. One can also change the site background to whatever colour energy you are in the mood of. The good thing is that users can listen to the background sounds of their choice without registering; however, by signing up with a Facebook or Google account will give the opportunity to save five combos of the sounds which can be shared with family, friends and colleagues on Twitter, Google+, Facebook or by HTML link.
Moreover, the site offers to set the timer to any configuration of hours, minutes or seconds, and can even set the sound to fade out at five, 15 and 30 seconds, respectively. Although, these sounds work perfectly in the background, Noisli offers a text editor — a space to write text or markdown syntax to remain distraction-free. And according to the site, the text will be saved even if the browser is closed, but since it is in Beta version, users should consider saving their text using the download function.
